Anthropocentrism

Any worldview that places fallen humanity at the conceptual or moral center of existence. Typified by the enlightenment project, whose most fundamental premise was that "man is the measure of all things". Since this is a role that rightly belongs to God, anthropocentrism (and all of its derivative world views) are thoroughly (albeit subtly) idolatrous.
Most modern and post-modern systems of thought are thoroughly anthropocentric; indeed, one of the most telling critiques of post-modernism is that it fails to challenge modernism's anthropocentrism, instead building itself upon the exact same foundation.
Neo-redemptive faith and praxis seek to be self-consciously theocentric in all things, from our concept of knowledge (epistemology) to our approach to scripture to our worship to our concept of value to our leadership styles to our working out of our salvation.
