Modernism
From Neoredemptive
(Redirected from Modern)
The worldview and systems of thought, morality, and rationality that pervaded the western world from roughly the era of the enlightenment and the Reformation until the mid-20th century.
As with all such things, the borders are fuzzy and jagged. It is made all the more difficult to talk about modernity as distinct from our current cultural situation since some have taken to calling it post-modernity, suggesting there is no clean break, while other point out that the present day is more hyper-modern than post-modern.
