Spiritual formation

The process of shaping Christ-like character in a person. Spiritual formation is not simply learning to obey a set of rules or ethics; it is the journey of transforming a person from a morally decrepit sinner who rejects and hates God into a faithful, devoted, selfless servant who thinks and lives like Jesus.

Spiritual Disciplines

Several disciplines are absolutely essential to spiritual formation. Simply doing these things does not gaurantee effective spiritual formation, but failing to do them does guarantee failure (or, at least, a very difficult go).
