Front man for "Fresh Fire Ministries", started as a street ministry in British Columbia. Todd was given a national stage as the principal speaker and minister in the "Lakeland outpouring", a long series of tent-revival meetings running from April 2008 until August 2008 and hosted by the "Ignited Church" of Lakeland, Florida.
On June 23, 2008, a formal service was held in which numerous leaders of the New Apostolic Reformation (including Peter Wagner) participated in an endorsement of the outpouring and a commissioning of Bentley as an evangelist .
It was later revealed that Bentley's marriage was falling apart (separated and moving toward divorce) and that he had been engaged in an inappropriate relationship with a female staffer, although he has insisted there was no sexual infidelity. Ignited Church has since "retructured" the revival events but continued them without Bentley.

Dutch's statement is spot-on in many regards -- the Charismatic movement as a whole (with which I still claim a long history and a strong affinity) needs to man up and fess up to a long history of shoddy theology, immature leadership, idolatrous hero-worship, and easy compromise on integrity in the name of expediency.
More to come.
