The set of assumptions through which a person interprets the world as they experience it. A philosophical framework (although it may not be recognized as such) which helps a person to make sense of their experiences by formulating ways to recognize, categorize, and describe them, directing which questions can and cannot be asked about the object of those experiences, and furnishing the intellectual tools available to decide how such questions can go about being answered.
